Boston

Boston Rooftops

When I first landed in Boston it was 1am, dark and quite airy with not a lot of people around. I could hear my heart pumping in my ears as I walked towards a taxi with an unknown man in the front seat. He sat there faceless in the front as I lugged my bags into the trunk of the car. I opened the door and sat in the cold leather seats and told the man where I was going and asked how his night was. He merely grunted and with that the wheels started moving and off we went into the darkness. I vividly remember looking down at my phone reception with the words "no service" written in the upper left hand corner. I stared out the window and I don't know what was louder, the pumping of my heart or my thoughts swimming around in my head. I thought to myself I have no idea where I am, who this driver is or where he was taking me. This was the night that I could potentially lose my life. What would Katie think when I didn't show up at her place in Boston? Had I said goodbye my family for the last time and I didn't even realise it? I let out a sigh of relief when we stopped and I was outside what I assumed was Katie's apartment building. I was even more relieved when I pushed the buzzer and saw her running down the stairs to meet me. Alright alright I know I'm dramatic! But that's a whole other story all together! Over the next few days I fell in love with Boston from the character in the buildings and the crooked chimney tops to having dinner at sunset on the roof every night with the amazing people I met. It truely is a beautiful city with such a beautiful vibe, I can barely describe it. I encourage you to experience it for your self! While I was there I got to capture Katie and Todd in their apartment in the North end of Boston. Take the journey through these photos and I hope it makes you experience a smidge of Boston love.
